Who we are
BakersMath.co is a free baking calculator website. We do not sell products, require account registration, or collect personal information directly. Our contact email is hello@bakersmath.co.
What data we collect
We do not ask for your name, email address, or any personal details to use this site. We collect two types of data automatically, but only if you accept cookies:
Analytics data. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people use the site. This includes which pages you visit, how long you spend on them, what device and browser you use, and your approximate country. This data is aggregated and anonymous. We cannot identify you from it.
Advertising data. We use Google AdSense to show ads. Google may use cookies to show ads based on your past visits to this site and other sites. You can opt out of personalised ads at adssettings.google.com.
If you decline cookies, neither Google Analytics nor Google AdSense will load. The calculators work the same either way.
Why we collect it
Analytics help us understand which calculators people use most and where the site can be improved. Advertising revenue keeps all the tools free to use. We do not sell data to third parties and we do not run our own advertising system.
Cookies
We use one first-party cookie to remember your consent choice (bakersmath_consent). Google Analytics and Google AdSense set their own cookies if you accept. See our Cookie Policy for the full list.
How long we keep data
Your consent choice is stored in your browser until you clear it. Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months by default, after which it is deleted automatically. We do not store any data on our own servers beyond what your browser holds locally.
Your rights
If you are in the European Economic Area, you have rights under the GDPR. These include the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, and object to how it is used. Because we do not store personal data ourselves, most requests will need to go to Google directly.
If you are in California, you have the right to opt out of the sale of personal information under the CCPA. We do not sell personal information. You can still opt out of Google's personalised advertising at adssettings.google.com.
To withdraw your cookie consent at any time, clear your browser's local storage for bakersmath.co. The banner will reappear and you can choose again.
Third-party services
We use the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy:
- Google Analytics — website analytics
- Google AdSense — advertising
- Vercel — website hosting
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page will always show when it was last changed. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
